The Open Leg Project is a low cost powered robotic leg. Extensive documentation is provided to build, program, and test the leg. It is our hope that individuals with limited electronics, computer programming, and mechanical knowledge can complete and improve the project.

Hall Effect Sensor Board for the Badass 45mm Outrunners

This board is based on Gary Pimm’s power supply tester. The original article is available here (power supply tester, rev 2):

The tester acts as an electronic load. A trimpot sets the DC load current while a balanced sound card or audio analyzer can send a test signal such as a frequency sweep as an AC load, allowing for measurement of power supply impedance and noise at the balanced output connector.

This version of the tester uses a single MOSFET rather than a cascode to reduce the voltage compliance. The power supply and DUT connect via Mini-fit Jr connectors.

The laser driver for the LDGraphy project. This allows to switch the laser quickly in the Megahertz range.

ESP32 WLED 2 channel stubby board that uses Amazon sourced components.

The board is designed to have the USB port end of the ESP32 socketed in to female header sockets, giving space for the level shifter to be directly soldered to the board underneath. The remainder of the ESP32 pins aren’t used, and left to float.

The is a replacement for the Virtual Boy lenses' ribbon cable.

Order them in flex PCB.

You’ll have to:

1. Remove the old ribbon cable from the lens

2. Salvage the cardboard stiffer from it

3. Cut the vias following the line to castellated them (use an Xacto knife, best is a micro scissor)

4. Install the ribbon with flux, and use a multimeter to avoid bridges

5. Wrap the base (lens side) with capton tape to insolate the soldering and give a bit of strenght of the installation.

This adapter board is designed to interface the 2009 Nissan 370Z factory wiring harness to the eZ Navi-Delete 2.0 Universal Adapter connector. See board parts list below.

This custom HAT is used to better implement control of the servos and motors used on Dr. Evilia’s water sampling boat.
