This project is a remix of OE2DOR’s perfect and neatly crafted FT-991A Panadapter board.

The final objective is to actually embed a RTL-SDR inside a FT-991 (or FT-991A), without drilling holes, external cables, connectors or whatsoever: The FT-991A sports a USB hub (which feeds the sound card and the CAT interface). By replacing the existing 2-port USB hub chip with a 4-port variant (same SMD footprint and compatible pinout), the SDR will be installed in the radio, and it will be exposed to the computer via the existing USB port, conveniently routed through the radio’s USB hub. So, plug the radio’s USB port and the computer will see three devices: the virtual sound card, the CAT port and the SDR.

This fork adds on-board latch control, by using a AND gate with two inputs that controls a RF switch: The IF signal is only connected to the SDR if both signals (on my project, a SDR GPIO signal and the RX9 signal from radio’s Main Unit) are present. Otherwise, the SDR is left isolated to the ground and no signal is tapped.

CC2-32K-EPROM-CARTRIDGE-Version-1-Revision-A1-01.06.2013 is a 32K EPROM Cartridge for the Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer 1, 2, 3 and Dragon Data Dragon computers. Notes: The CoCo 1, 2 and Dragon can only access the first 16K. The CoCo 3 can access the entire 32K, minus the 0xFFnn I/O and Vector page. CoCoDragon-MultiPakInterface-CC-Multi-Pak_Version_1.2 - This is a clone of the Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer Multi-Pak Interface #26-3024 (which should also be compatible with the #26-3124). This was designed by my nephew “Little John” and his father “Big John” (J.R. as he is known to me). I have made very minor modifications to it. “Little John” designed this thing to work with ATX Power Supplies, which makes sense I guess - that is the most common power supply in the whole of the known universe. Please note that I have not yet tested this but I am ordering boards and will post an update after initial testing has been completed.

LambdaSpeak 3 is a versatile hardware extension for the Amstrad / Schneider CPC home computer, with a focus on speech synthesis and PCM sample playing. It offers:

• An Epson S1V30120 TTS chip running DECtalk v5 for natural sounding speech and even DECtalk singing, as well as a DECtalk-based emulation of the classic Amstrad SSA-1 and DK'tronics speech synthesizers from ~ 1985.
• A fully authentic re-implementation of the classic SSA-1 and DK'tronics speech synthesizers using the original retro GI SPO256-AL2 speech chip.
• A PCM sample playing mode where PCM data is “streamed” from the CPC and turned into PCM audio (the so-called “Amdrum mode”).
• An autonomous High Quality PCM sample playing mode that plays wave files / samples from a SPI EEPROM on board rather than having to stream the PCM data from the CPC.
• A serial interface / UART that is used to control, for example, an MP3 player module.
• A Real Time Clock.
