Noise effects music synthesizer named PRBSYNTH1 intended for generating, shaping and modulating noise related sounds. Many of the classic synthesizersounds can be created, but the unit also also goes into other sonic directions. All sounds are made by tweaking 8 powerfull functions coupled to potmeters, no menus are used. Control can be done via these potmeters, control voltages or MIDI controllers with keyboard triggering, scaling and velocity. Using “bonded lanes” of oserdes/iserdes channels of a spartan6, this is an attempt to get a pair of 6 bit DACs (both at 1 GSa/s). Fits on left or right half of the pins on an althea revBL.

This is to interface with a mod kit I have. If you want to use SEGA cables or just have a LPF then this is your best bet.

Set the pad named “LPF” to turn on a low pass filter (may do something idk).

If you are doing the SEGA cable thing then solder down the three jumpers you see by the outputs. Then your SEGA cable should act like it would for mods that remove the 75 ohm series resistance. This is the same width/layout as the mod kit.

Keep in mind anyone who might stumble upon this., do not remove any resistors on the mod kit (this board is not the mod kit; just a simple video buffer).

Low distortion Wien Bridge Oscillator - High Performance Version. Selected values for 1,000 Hz frequency output at 26 volts peak to peak. C1, C2 are precision film capacitors for low drift and distortion. IC1 is an OPA1612 ultra-low noise and distortion audio op-amp. VR4 is an external 10K potentiometer for adjusting output level. R2, R3 are for adjusting series and parallel bridge frequency circuits. R1 adjusts the negative feedback of the oscillator. L1, L2 are 14 volt incandescant bulbs used in the negative feedback circuit. Changed resistors to 1206 low noise type. Revision 1.1

The PlayStation sends commands to the controller and the controller responds with the status of the buttons and joysticks. The command and data is read by the microcontroller and after some checks to see if the button combo has been pressed, it will reset the PlayStation. The communication is almost exactly like SPI, which is why I’m using it in the later versions of the mod.

The PlayStation 1 reset mod allows you to reset the PlayStation 1 through a combination of button presses. This is particularly useful if you own a PSIO from Cybdyn System/Mode and x station it will allow you to get back to the MAIN menu without getting up from your couch. And as of V1.2 it also supports the xStation reset.

The default reset combination is Select + Start + L2 + R2 for digital and analog controllers, A + B + Trigger for a GUNCON. Since V1.2 the Select + Cross + L2 + R2 combination has been added. It’s used for a longer reset pulse to add support for the xStation by @ramapcsx2 on github / @_ramapcsx2 on twitter.

The button combination for the controllers is:

L2 + R2 + SELECT + START, for a short reset pulse L2 + R2 + SELECT + CROSS, for a long reset pulse, since V1.2

Parts list: Only two components needed for this mod: the microcontroller and one capacitor.

1206 = 0.125 in × 0.06 in | 3.2 mm × 1.6 mm 0805 = 0.080 in × 0.05 in | 2.0 mm × 1.25 mm 0603 = 0.060 in × 0.03 in | 1.6 mm × 0.8 mm If you don’t have a lot of experience soldering I recommend going for the 1206.

How to install this is a 1 wire install only!!!

1.Remove the six screws from bottom of your playstation
2.Unplug the flex cable from the ps1 controller board 3.Remove the screws holding the port to the bottom of the case 4.Solder the pcb to the back of the controller port 5.Then solder 1 wire to the rst (reset pad) on the pbc board 6.Then solder the other end of the rst wire to the reset point on the motherboard and you are done “ 7. Put everything back together again
