Adapter for 25 pins, 0.3 mm connector.

This board interfaces Teensy 4.0 or 4.1 with HiFiBerry DAC+, DAC2 Pro and DAC2 HD. This is the top mount version - Teensy plugs into HiFiBerry from above. WARNING when used with DAC2 HD, this version of the board may have a data corruption issue linked to trace layout. For now, if you’re using DAC2 HD, I recommend using Teensy4_HiFiBerry_r1_0_BottomMount. This version has no known issue with DAC2 Pro or DAC+.

This board interfaces Teensy 4.0 or 4.1 with HiFiBerry DAC+, DAC2 Pro and DAC2 HD. This is the bottom mount version - Teensy plugs into HiFiBerry from below.

Dali power injector circuit - an LM317(TO263)+ 5R1(2512) resistor, which will limit the current on the two DALI pins to about 240mA. Identical to DALI power board 1 but with a bigger footprint which should allow it to deliver that 240ma without the thermal limiting kicking in.

SS14+1M ensure that if power is supplied to the bus elsewhere, the LM317 will not be damaged. 1M is to get rid of leakage current from SS14, not sure if it’s required.

Dali power injector circuit - an LM317(SOT223) + 5R1(2512) resistor, which will limit the current on the two DALI pins to about 240mA. This is a tried and tested circuit, but the LM317 will overheat if you try and deliver the full 240mA for too long, as would happen if you had a dead short on the bus, or a misbehaving device. Testing on a workbench, it dropped to about 130mA after a few seconds, but obviously that will vary based on the thermal environment.

The third part is an 0603 signal diode - there only to ensure that if this board isn’t powered, and power is supplied to the DALI bus from elsewhere, that the LM317 is protected from the reverse current. Most 0603 diodes are rated for 150mA, not 240mA, so it’s fair to say this board design does work, but hasn’t been stressed to the full 240mA output.

Note pin1 is labelled 12V but is really 12-20V, and pin2 is also labelled 12V but should be GND!

This is the power injection circuit from Microchip AN1465. It limits the output to 70mA, which is not enough for a full bus of 65 units at 2mA each. Decreasing the resistor by much just overheats the parts.

Plug this board into the GoTek option jumper of Drive A: in a 2 Gotek - equipped PCW 9512, and jumper S1 in Drive B:; this will allow the PCW to boot with both drives, per Fabrizio Di Vittorio’s blog:

The orientation of the board on the Gotek PCB as follows:

• the 8 way female jumper header is soldered to the UNDERSIDE of the board
• with the Gotek 34 way header on the right, mount the board so that the female pin connector is at the top of the longer (14 pin) jumper block.
• the LS32 is to the LEFT of the jumper block and the 5v pin is top right
• use a jumper to connect +5v to the right hand pin of J4 (closest to the power input socket).

WARNING - When connecting the Gotek to the PCW power socket, be aware that on a PCW 12v and 5v lines are swapped. Check with a multimeter BEFORE plugging the PCWV connector into your Gotek, you will probably need to swap the wires around.

This board can be used as a 5 button screen selector beside a display, for channel or playback page selection beside a fader wing or as GO/GO+/GO-/Pause button board.
