iCEHAX Smol is based on iCE40UL1K-SWG16 FPGA from lattice semi. This is (probably) smallest FPGA chip. On board 1v2 Vcore and 3v3 VCCIO LDO (AP7312-1233FM-7).

By sandwiching this board between the input board and the output board, the position of the signal pin is changed by 90 degrees. Used when the connector interferes. You can also combine two boards to extend the overall length.
