PocketBeagle Expansion Board to add USB Host port. Uses TPS2051BDBVR as USB Power Switch and ST’s USBLC6-2 for Surge protection. Also included is an Si7006 Temperature Sensor and MMA845xQ Accellerometer. Host port is on same end as MicroSD Card slot and mounts on the bottom of the board.

A 5 Volt power source for the i2c-duino. With a heat sink in the 7805 this can deliver up to 1.5 Amp and can power 3 i2c-duinos

This board creates an i2c bus with an ATMega 328 processor. It can be used as an i2c master or slave. Great to use with Raspberry to add A/D ports to the Raspberry

This is the same ATMega-328 breakout sans power source. Very useful when used for prototyping on a breadboard where the power supply is already supplied.

miniDuino

This board is a full fledged ATMEL-328-20p break out with FTDI connector. It is 100% compatible with Arduino and can be programed using the Arduino IDE.

Why another Arduino board?

miniDuino solves the problem of having to use an Arduino with a breadboard. It is completely self contained as it includes an On/Off switch and a voltage regulator. Just connect a 7.5 to 12 Volt to either the barrel connector or the headers and it will provide power for the ATMega processor and about 7 watts, provided that the LM7805 has an adequate heat sink. If you already have a regulated power source you can connect a 5 Volt source to pin 7 or 20 of the ATMega.

Bill of materials:

1. ATMega 328-20p
2. Barrel connector (optional)
3. Straight or 90 degree headers for the battery connection (2) and for the FTDI cable (6)
4. Male or female headers to be used as extensions for the processor pins. To mount in a breadboard just use male straight headers.
5. 1N4001 diode to safeguard your board if the battery terminals are reversed.
6. One LS7805. If you plan to power something else, like bright LED’s or motors you may need a heat sink. The LS7805 can provide up to 1.5 amps or about 7 watts. (The ATMega may consume about 500 mA)
7. Two 100µF electrolytic capacitors to smooth the voltage out of the LS7805. You may not need them if there is not a lot of current demand from the LS7805
8. One 10K 1/8watt resistor to pull up the reset. You can connect the reset pin in the ATMega to ground to restart the program
9. 1 16Mhz crystal
10. 2 20pf ceramic capacitors for the crystal
11. 1 0.1µF ceramic capacitor to filter the reset signal for the FTDI cable
12. A 14x2 socket for the ATMega.
