This Project was inspired by Paul Carlson’s Video on how to test a relay using a pulse generator and a curve-tracing oscilloscope. The 9V Pulser is a simple circuit which uses a 555 timer to let an LED blink, very similar to what is shown in Chris Gammell’s Getting to Blinky series of videos. An additional load like a relay is attached in parallel to the LED, which then acts as an indicator of the pulses going into the load.

The load and the LED are not directly driven from the 555 timer but from the 9V battery itself. The 555 timer just activates a transistor which switches the power to the load and the LED on and off.

4 - 20GHz x1000 frequency divider based on the ADF5002 (x8), HMC394 (set to x25) and MCP100EP139 (set to x5). All capacitors are 0402. Capacitors on exposed RF traces are 1nF, all others should be 330nF or more (1uF recommended). U4 is a 3.3V Torex XCL202. D1 is any SOD123 5V6 Zener. Output is AC-coupled differential, terminate unused output to 50ohms for single-ended use, output does not have a 50% duty cycle.

RPUpi

Shield for RS422 over CAT5 with a Pi Zero host. It is a multidrop serial bus. I use it with RPUno or Irrigate7 with the AVR toolchain found on Raspbian, which means I can compile bare metal programs and then upload the firmware with the avrdude tool to a serial bootloader on one of the RPUno or Irrigate7 daisy-chained to the Pi Zero. The exposed network surface of Raspian on the Pi Zero is nil by default so it will need to be configured for some sort of remote access, I use SSH.

This is an adapter board for TRS-80 Model 100. There are three use cases-

a) Early M100 - allow user to install an updated Main ROM using a 27C256

b) Early M100 - allow user to install an updated Main ROM and an Option ROM using a 27C512

c) Late M100 - allow user to install an updated Main ROM and an Option ROM using a 27C512 (because a late M100 is compatible with 27C256)
