WeMos D1 Mini to GBS 8200 coupling board via a 44 pin PLCC socket. This revision no longer requires a jumper on P6; it is directly connected to GND on the coupling board. C1 has been removed. WeMos board has also been rotated for a better fit.

• 5 x 50 mil header SWD programming interface
• U1: TPD3S014DBVR (for USB ESD protection and transceiver power control) - alternatively short JP1, or power the transceiver via external 5V
• U2: TPS70933DBVR or equivalent (5Vin 3.3Vout 100mA LDO)
• U3: STM32F042C6T6 or equivalent (USB+CAN)

• D1, D2: frame and error indicating LED (e.g. green and red)
• R5, R6: adjust according to desired LED current

• R7, R8 depend on the CAN transceiver, typically R7 = 0
• R1: 1.5kO (only if STM32F1 or STM32F3 series is used)
• R4: 1MO

This is the DIN connector part of the 1088XLD embedded MIDI system, or the XEL-MIDI 1088XEL plug-in expansion board. It provides a buffered opto-isolated interface to external MIDI devices, and allows for auto or manual switching of internal Dream Blaster S2 Synthesizer board source from MIDI-IN to MIDI-OUT, as well as allows it to be deselected in favor of an external synthesizer.

Woot! He has been working on this for months. He is happy to announce that it is finally working right. The ESP32 will be a great option for CNC. Here are some things he is excited about.

1. Fast – Two 32 bit Cores at 240MHz Each, FPU, 80MHz Timers
2. Memory – Tons of Flash and RAM
3. Low Cost – $3-$10 depending how you buy it.
4. Small Size – Not much bigger than an Arduino Nano
5. I/O – It has about the same number of pins as an Arduino UNO, which is the target for Grbl
6. BlueTooth and WiFi – This is great and actually the primary reason for his port.

Do the guy a favor and buy one on Tindie

A simple way to use the grbl firmware on an Arduino NANO CNC board with a Mostly Printed CNC (MPCNC). The dual motors on X and Y need to spin in opposite directions. Rather than using a RAMPS and hacking up the grbl software to allow E0 and E1 to be used as secondary X and Y axes, or wiring the motors in parallel and only getting half the current to each, this board can be plugged into the X and Y motor driver positions of the CNC board along with a pair of drivers.
R1 = 1k. R2 =10k. Q1 = MMBT3904. For each board you need two eight-pin Arduino shield style headers (male and female together), two eight-pin female headers for your 2nd stepper driver, and a pair of four-pin headers to connect your motors to.
Edit: Despite my initial thinking, this really doesn’t work with a Mega/RAMPS combination because of pin spacing. It does, however, work great for the Arduino Nano CNC shields (the ones I have were sold as “CNC Shield V4 for Arduino Nano” and have a ‘Keyes CNC’ label on it and a ‘2014/07/01’ date code).
