RPUpi

This shield or mezzanine is how I place a tool-chain at the network edge. It has full duplex communications and management done with RS485 transceivers over CAT5. The SBC computer I use is a Raspberry Pi Zero (I suspect others may work). The serial is multidrop so the computer can communicate with several targets (e.g. RPUno, RPUlux, Irrigate7…). Management allows selecting a target for bootload with the tool-chain uploader. I have been using the AVR toolchain with this, but the plan is to try SAM-BA and BOSSA. I use SSH connections to compile the bare metal programs and then the uploader without involving any networking (note using the serial requires that the user be in the dialout group). The bare metal has no exposed network surface.

This is an RS-232 SAO for #DEFCON #badgelife

All caps are 0.1µF. All resistors are 68Ω. The chip is a MAX3232. Mount the keyed shrouded 2x3 .1" DIP header on the bottom. Mount a DB9M on the edge.

Composite video mod for Odyssey 2 video game consoles (type 2 of 2). Personally, I found that the type 1 mod gave a better (sharper) image quality compared to the type 2.

Mounts in the location of the existing RF unit which must be removed. Use #10 nylon washers (2 in top hole and 1 in the bottom hole) which allows the existing screws to tighten down and hold the board in place.

15mm equidistant spacing between the To220 mounting holes - fits lovely onto most old PC CPU heatsinks. Conductive fixing holes on each end are 4.2mm diameter within exposed 10mm pads. Soldermask removed so you can solder real copper wires on to bolster the current carrying capacity. 1mm pullback/pad clearance throughout. All gates commoned together - but easily possibile to use a razor to split out into two fet pairs or even four individual ones. You can’t daisy chain these pcb’s directly together edge to edge with bolts (for example to get 8/12/16 fet combinations) - but could be a great timesaver if you just need to keep swapping banks of blown fets out!!! Tested in the field. Enjoy!
