PL decoder board based on the MX COM MX165CLH. Pins 1-4 operate as follows: Pin 1 - 8-16V+, 2 - RX Audio, 3 - PL Decode (Active low), 4 - Ground. IC1 is a 5V regulator. A 1MHz crystal oscillator is used, and must be stable to at least 100ppm. Solder bridge pads D0-D5 select the PL to be decoded. See chart in MX165 datasheet. C1-C3 are .1uF to 1uF capacitors. The diode is a standard signal diode. The two thru hole resistors are 560k and 820k. The pads on the right side of the board are for an indicator LED and dropping resistor. Calculate your resistor based on the LED you choose.

Board to split out the signals on the DB-25 connector. Power is a standard power connector. The ENA ports are standard 3.5mm connectors. ENA 1 defaults to enabled if nothing is plugged in, ENA 2 and 3 default to disabled when nothing is connected. These are small adapter boards to adapt the pinout of the RLS-1000B to the pinout of the RLC-Club. The RLS-1000B only directly supports logic high PL mode. This includes a small logic inverter to accept logic low signals, and also allows for the COR and PL signals to be tied together for receivers where they are already tied together. For a combined logic low COR and PL system, jumper pins 2-4 and 5-6. The 4 pin header is a provision for the connection of an external PL decoder board, signals as labeled. This is a small adapter board to use an HC-05 or HC-06 bluetooth serial adapter for a Yaesu FT-100, FT-857, or FT-897. The circuit is exactly the same as the one for the FT-817, just a slightly different mounting method for the LED and Mini-DIN 8 connector. SJ1 is used to provide V+ to the adapter to enable AT command mode on an HC-05. R1-R3 are identical values, and are used to convert the 5v TTL signal from the rig to the 3.3v signal expected by the bluetooth adapter. R4 is the current limiting resistor for using an HC-06, R5 is the current limiting resistor for the status LED for an HC-05. R4/R5 may be omited if you do not desire having a status LED. The voltage regulator is a AMS1117-3.3v or LM1117 3.3v regulator. This board is designed to go straight off the back of the radio and not interfere with any other ports. This board WILL NOT fit on the FT-817 when it is standing on it’s back feet, although otherwise it will work. When ordering this board, order it in the 2oz, or it may not fit between the connector’s pins.
