A simple board to flip the feather headers so you can connect devices like the Hallowing and the Cricket that use surface mount headers that are mounted in the same orientation.

Pins available

• Battery voltage (3.0~4.2, if present)
• USB supply voltage (typically 5V, if present)
• 6 generic digital IO pins (the numbering of these varies between Feathers)

This side does not offer a Ground, if used on it’s own you must provide one

Instructions

1. Use mounting holes to attach the plumage to the feather, or a wing with the plumage below the parent board. The boards should be touching, and make sure the header holes are reasonably aligned.
2. Place a header through the parent board, regular length headers should have the pin extending far enough to attach the plumage.
3. Solder the 3 together at each pin, you may want to do the outsides first and work inward.

A Feather Wing that provides 2mm pitch 4x8 pin mini headers adapting the GPIO to IDC ribbon cable. Once each 4 wire ribbon has been extracted out the end of the wing they can be rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise and assembled into a single ribbon, into an IDC plug, and the pins on the IDC plug will directly relate to the organization of the feather GPIO headers
