~This is the through hole version of the board. Original SMD version, Hand Solder SMD Version.~
A take on Helder’s own MD2 composite video fix, only using the onboard clock signal fed on R61 instead of using a separate crystal oscillator. Composite video clock fix for Model 2 Sega Genesis consoles for the following:
Motherboards with VA0, VA1, VA1.8 revision
Samsung KA2195D video encoder
Instructions: Twitter thread for now. SMD, but still relevant.
Notes:
This particular PCB should use 1/8W resistors.
Removal of the original 10K resistor on R61 is required.
R61_L is +2.5V as VREF, connecting to SBCR.
R61_R is GND, connecting to C24, then KA2195 pin 6.
