This is an open source Commodore compatible gamepad similar in design to a Genesis or NES gamepad, but designed specifically for the Commodore and Atari 8-bit machines prior to the Amigas.
This is the original v1.0 version of the design. This one has a switch embedded between the D-pad up button and the jump button to migrate the behavior between the D-pad and the button. In practice, it’s not really necessary, so you probably want the v1.1 version here: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/r14sqzps
