Total Price:
$1.80
Description
Simple breakout board to convert logic-level signals to CAN bus. The MCP2562 is nothing but a fancy level shifter and must be used with a CAN bus controller, such as a Microchip MCP2515.
This board fits in a breadboard!
The left-side pins are the same as the CAN bus header on the LPCXpresso11C24 dev board.
Designed in EagleCAD.
Pins
Right side:
- TX: data out from CAN bus
- RX: data into CAN bus
- GND: ground (same as left side)
- +5V: powers chip (same as left side)
- VIO: interface voltage reference
- STBY: place the MCP2562 into low-power state
Left side:
- CANH: high-voltage side of CAN bus (usually 2.5-5V logic)
- CANL: low-voltage side of CAN bus (usually 0-2.5V logic)
- GND: ground (same as right side)
- +5V: transceiver power rail (same as right side)
- STBY: place the MCP2562 into low-power state
BOM
- U1: Microchip MCP2562SN
- C1, C2: 0.1µF 0603 ceramic capacitor
- R1: 120Ω 0603 resistor
