Description

Simple breakout board for Honeywell’s MPR line of pressure sensors, which use a Wheatstone bridge and an optional 1nF filter capacitor.

This board has 0.5" pin row spacing such that it fits in a standard breadboard.

Designed in EagleCAD.

Pins

Right side:

  • RST: reset, active-low
  • EOC: end of conversion, data is available, active-high
  • GND: ground
  • +3.3V: VDD (note: device has no reverse-polarity protection and very little over-voltage protection)

Left side:

  • MISO: master-in-slave-out for SPI
  • SCL/SCK: clock input for SPI and I2C
  • MOSI/SDA: data input for SPI, data I/O for I2C
  • CS: chip select for SPI

BOM

  • top footprint: any Honeywell MPR device
  • 100nF: any 100nF 0603 capacitor
  • 1nF: any 1nF 0603 capacitor
