ATX Breakout Board with dual USB charging capability. ATX 24pin, EPS12V (also known as ATX12V 4+4 for connecting 4 or 8 pin CPU connector), and PCI-E connector can be connected to provide 3 12V “rails” along with 5V and 3.3V outputs.
Revision: A
Top and bottom ground layers are stitched together to allow better heat transfer and reduce noise.
USB bottom port is powered by 5VSB, top port powered by regular 5V rail fused to 3A.
This board is based on ATX PSU Distributor from eMAKERshop, and ATX Breakout Board designed by Francesco Truzzi.
BOM
mouser.com part number provided in parenthesis for reference
- C1: Capacitor 0.1uF 0805 package (77-VJ0805Y105JXQTBC).
- D1, D2: LED 0805 package (720-LGR971-KN-1).
- F1: 3A fuse 1206 package (576-1206L300SLWR).
- J1: ATX 24 pin, right angle (Sparkfun part).
- J2: ATX 12v 4+4/EPS12V connector, right angle (538-39-30-0080).
- J3: PCI-E 12v connector, right angle (538-45558-0003).
- J4: dual port USB-A (571-1903815-1).
- P1: Pin header 1x4 (855-M20-9990346).
- P2: Pin header 1x8 (855-M20-9990846).
- R1,R2: 1.3k resistor (660-SG73P2ATTD1301F).
- R3, R4: Power resistors, OPTIONAL. Needed for old ATX power supplies. Use 5-9W power resistors if PSU keeps shutting down.
- SW1: Power switch (629-GPTS203211B).
- U1: USB charge port controller (595-TPS2513ADBVR).
- X1,X3,X5: Terminal block 4P (571-282858-4).
- X2,X4: Terminal block 2P (571-282858-2).
Optional, X2 & X4 can be combined to use a single terminal block 4P.
For P1, P2 acquiring a single 12pin header and cutting it to length would be cheaper.
