Used to indicate whether the rails of adjacent DCC blocks are in phase. The outer terminals A and B are connected to the rails of one block and the centre terminal is connected to one of the rails of the adjacent block. If that adjacent block rail is in phase with the A rail then the green LED lights - otherwise the red LED lights.
