This is a replacement tach sensor board for MTH Protosound 2 and Locosound locomotives using the QRE1113 reflective sensor. The stock MTH tach sensor board uses the Omron EE-SY124 Reflective Sensor that is no longer produced and is in short supply. This board with the QRE1113 reflective sensor is a direct replacement for the stock MTH sensor board. Note that this replacement board has a resistor position that has a trace that bypasses it. The 180 ohm resistor is only fitted for MTH Locosound applications that do not include the resistor in the wiring harness.
The G, O, B markings on the PCB are for the Gray, Orange, and Blue wires from the Protosound wiring.
