Total Price:
$1.45
Size tweaked to make it easier to use in conjunction with a micro sd card modification. Place PCB at the text detailing the TH4001 and TH4002 fuses.
Files to program the IC can be accessed here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/afw7oxhz6w1sp7t/Files%20to%20test%20Comsoft%20on%20500xx%20v9%20v10%20PS2.7z?dl=0
This link also includes a rough schematic for the v9 and v10. I will update with the schematics from ModzvilleUSA on Twitter.
Parts needed: C1 (1x) 0603 0.1ųF 16v capacitor R1 (1x) 0603 1/8w 1.5k ohm resistor R2 (1x) 0603 1/8w 10k ohm resistor R3 (1x) 0603 1/8w 100ohm resistor U1 (1x) 12C508 or 12F508 D1 (1x) 24mAh LED (Blue is default, shows mechacon activity)
Note R1 may need to be changed to 2k or 2.2k ohm value as per notes further down.
Testing: Leave point K disconnected to test proper function of the laserfix. It should shutdown the console after 3 seconds, if the console stays powered on or in the case of v9; powers on and no standby LED, try the below adjustments.
Special Thanks to Kel for testing the fixes on his consoles and getting data with his oscilloscope as well as detailing the subzero fix install if one should wish to use that laserfix.
Special Thanks to ModzvilleUSA for testing the 2.2k ohm resistor and 2k ohm resistor values in the v9 GH-023 revision as well as publishing easier to read schematics for a v9 v10 (v11 Europe and Japan only) install.
