Jumpers

  • Slow - If closed slows the outout driver to limit the slew rate.
  • TermRX - Close to enable the RX termination resistor.
  • TermTX - Close to enable the TX termination resistor (only in RS422 mode).
  • Duplex - Set to “F” for full for duplex RS422 or RS485 with echo or set to “H” for RS485 without echo.
  • Dual 422/485 - Set both jumpers in the top position for RS422 output and in the bottom position for RS485 output.

Similar to Ethernet so you can use standard cables. Crossover cable to connect two boards in RS422 mode. Straight cable to connect two boards in RS485 mode.
