An Arduino shield to demonstrate programming an LCD display - with toggle switches!
The list of DigiKey parts is fairly generic, except for all the switches:
- The 10× toggle switches are caged to support the toggle forces;
- The 2× potentiometers for brightness and contrast, and 1× push button for “GO!”, have a specific pinout;
- And the 1× rotary switch/dial behaviour is specifically programmed in the Arduino Sketch.
However, the LEDs, resistors, capacitors and even header have numerous equivalents available. Just make sure the LED leads are long enough to stand up past the switch cages!
