This board uses an MCP23S17 (SPI) to control 16 Solid State Relays. It is configured to drive an 8x8 matrix, and uses a standard footprint for 1A or 2A SSRs… maybe larger. The AC input is intended to switch the hot on one bank of SSRs and neutral on the other. If you’d like to just switch 16 loads, connect the hot wire to both AC input terminals and connect neutral off-board.
