This board takes power from a USB port (typically a wall charger). It uses a 904nm IR thru hole LED as a photosensor, and when it detects ‘night’ it starts doing a very very gentle mix of the two LED on the board. I use these with a ping-pong ball as a diffuser, and a blue + red LED. I’ve been using these with DIY PCB for years and I’m always asked to make some by visitors. The board is ‘reversible’ in the USB port, however, you might want to add a piece of tape on the side that is not in use, it depends on how the USB wall charger was assembled.
