A simple tiny board that matches the pinout of a dual USB 1.½.0 port to the pinout of an IDC connector for a front-panel dual USB port on a PC. The idea is to use the board in place of a dual-USB port on a circuit board to let it connect to a front-panel USB.

Note that the numbering of the ports is arbitrary; port 1 is the lower port on the dual-USB connector and port 2 is the upper port. This is mismatched from the IDC connector as the missing-pin port is designated port 1 and the one with the shield-ground is port 2.

This is a board to adapt scavenged SIP 7-segment LED displays like found in microwave ovens. Each pin of the SIP can be connected as a segment by resistor to the output, or through a transistor to pull-up (common-anode) or pull-down (common-cathode) the digit’s select pin. Each of up to 16 pins are routed to the first 16 pins of an 18-pin DIP header with the remaining pins for +5V and ground. See JasonDoesItAll.com/sip7/ for more information.
