This is the 3rd revision of a miniature STM8S001J3M3 based MODBUS node with a DS1621 or DS1721 I2C temperature sensor.

This STM8S001J3M3 breakout board with RS485 interface and DS1621S temperature sensor can be used, e.g., for STM8 eForth and MODBUS applications.

Connectors are optional: wires can be soldered to the pads of J1, and the PCB can be inserted in a metal tube. Applications without the DS1621S I2C thermometer IC are also possible: 3 to 4 GPIOs and 3.3V supply are available on connector J2. (refer to the GPIO description on GitHub for details).

USB to RS485 converter “Tx-Echo” switch, optional 3.3V LDO for driver and bus supply. It can a also be configured as a 3-Wire or a 2-Wire RS232-TTL converter (tested & works)
