This board will work as-is with the Raspberry Pi C code on the project page, but this version is now deprecated as I work on the MCP23S17 SPI version.
The Cartridge port used is a modified NDS lite connector.
LED’s and associated resistors are optional (but blinkenlights pretty ;) ) and the OSRAM ones I used worked well with 330R. your mileage may vary and they are driven by the VSC line so whatever is selected on the jumper, 3.3 or 5v.
