Basic stereo audio attenuator using standard voltage divider setup. Suggest using sockets for resistors to allow trial and error tuning.
R1 and R2 should be matched and are the higher value (ex 1000)
R3 and R4 should be matched and lower value (ex 100)
With example 100 and 1k values that gives a 10:1 reduction which should be -20db but for my devices ended up being more like -30db which worked for what I needed it for. This is due to the source’s output impedance. I use this to reduce line in audio to a volume my recorder that records at mic level volume can handle.
