Using compact, modular and inexpensive electronics we can build a gaussmeter! Useful for measurements in the range 1-1000 microtesla. In addition to this pcb, you will need one WitMotion RM3100 gaussmeter module, see https://www.wit-motion.com/geomagnetic-sensor/ plus a Seeeduino XIAO microcontroller.

Use OSHpark’s “after dark” service for best pcb appearance.

This is the board for ZULF’s soldering tutorial. Learn how to solder through-hole and surface mount resistors, and light up some LEDs. If you order this board using OSHpark’s “after dark” service, you’ll get to see the printed circuit traces more clearly as they will not be covered up by an opaque solder mask layer.

Bill of materials: - After dark board - 3 x 1 kohm, through-hole resistors. Solder to front of board. - 4 x 1 kohm, 1206 surface-mount resistors. Solder to front of board. - 5 x 1 kohm, 0805 surface-mount resistors. Solder to front of board. - 5 x 1 kohm, 0603 surface-mount resistors. Solder to front of board. - 4 x 0603 surface-mount LEDs. Solder to front of board. - 2 x AA battery holder with connector wires. Solder to reverse of board. - 2 x AA batteries

Coil for magnetic field modulation OPM v1-2019/05

Adapter for AD9850 module and Arduino UNO. The pin at the corner of the board is Arduino D13. At the edge of the board, an SMA connection outputs a bipolar sine wave.
