This is a replacement for the NEC/TOKIN bulk filter capacitors on some model PlayStation 3 consoles. It is designed to allow the addition of up to six 0805 Multi Layered Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC) in parallel with three 7343 Tantalum or Aluminum Polymer decoupling capacitors. Be sure to buy 2mm or shorter caps. Also choose the 0.8mm board thickness or there may be clearance issues installing the RF shield. Lastly, the 7343 caps need to be low ESR/ESL (4.5 milliohms preferably, but no more than 9mOhms).
