This is a replacement for the NEC/TOKIN bulk filter capacitors on some model PlayStation 3 consoles. It is designed to allow the addition of up to 6 Multi Layered Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC) in parallel with three 7.3 x 4.3 x 1.9mm (LxWxH) Tantalum or Aluminum Polymer decoupling capacitors. Be sure to buy 1.9mm tall caps and choose the 0.8mm board thickness or there may be clearance issues installing the RF shield. Also, choose low ESR/ESL capacitors (as low as possible).
