Suitable for a range of very common keyboard switches (C&K D6 series or equivalent) or 6x6mm tactile switches (4- and 2-pin) in both through-hole and SMD format. If desired, a hardware debounce SMD cap (0805 package) can be soldered to the back of each switch position with typical values being in the range of 10nF to 100nF.
An optional LED is possible on the board although the board will function correctly without it fitted. By bridging the triple pads on the back of the board, logic high or logic low operation is possible. Ensure that only one side of this triple pad is bridged as bridging all pads will short out the power. Test with a multimeter before operation.
If a current limit resistor (1k0) is not required for the switches then the pads under this resistor can be bridged with solder. Mounting of the board is via 4 x M3 standoffs. For ease of soldering and potential rework/desolder, most holes are bottom padded and not through-plated. The 4-pin tactile switch holes are through-plated with both top and bottom pads and this allows for the SMD switches to be easily soldered on the top of the board.
