This allows the Lattice iCE40UP5K FPGA to communicate with a host computer via any of the modes supported by the FT232H, including synchronous 245 FIFO (up to 40Mbytes/s).
Series resistors are provided on each connection to protect the I/O ports of both devices.
A 14-pin expansion connector is also provided for spare FPGA pins.

This allows the Lattice iCE40UP5K FPGA to communicate with a host computer via any of the modes supported by the FT232H, including synchronous 245 FIFO (up to 40Mbytes/s).
