Attach a Teensy to a “Model T” computer

This plugs in to the serial port on a Cambridge Z88 (which has a non-standard pinout), and provides a serial port with the same wiring pinout and physical connector as the Kyotronic KC-85 clone machines. (TRS-80 Model 100, 102, 200, NEC PC-8201, PC-8300, Olivetti M10, Kyotronic KC-85)

The Model 100 serial port is also slightly non-standard by todays standards, only in that it’s DTE yet female, but this connection allows the Z88 to use any Model 100 peripherals directly with the same cable as used for the Model 100 without any further adapters.

Particularly, the cable that comes with a Tandy Portable Disk Drive is a special cable with transistors embeded inside the plug, and IT has a male DB25 plug meant to plug directly into a Model 100. This adapter allows you to connect the TPDD to a Z88 using the official/original cable.
