Power comes from three AAA batteries, and the unit turns itself off an on automatically. Power consumption in standby is TBDµA, and when making a 200Hz tone the current is TBDmA. With 20 minutes of use per day, 5 days per week, 50 weeks per year, the batteries should last TBD years, but of course the batteries' self-discharge will likely force their replacement within a few years.
