Simple(st) and cheap(est) interface for Davis Vantage Vue with v3 software (infamous green dot). Tested with Vantage Vue, should work with other stations too.

IC1 = ATTiny85 with program from : http://meteo.annoyingdesigns.com/DavisSPI.pdf

C1 = 100n (optional)

D1 = 3v3 Zener (optional)

R1 = 470R (optional, short if not used)

J1 = 2x10 female header 2.0mm pitch

Should be used with USB-UART cable (tested with PL2303, should work with others too), B-ground, W-cable’s Tx, G-cable’s Rx. If cable is 5V one, it’s recomended to use R1 and D1 as a voltage clamping since Davis operates at 3v3.
