It can either be used as a TPDD2 emulation PCB for the Tandy Model 100/102/200 or as an ESP8266 (ESP-12) with an SD-Card, RTC, Li Poly battery and USB power.
Highlights:

  • Uses Micro-SD card supports up to 16GB.
  • Rechargeable Adafruit LiPoly battery.
  • Supports the TS-DOS100/200 protocols.
  • Uses FatFS for SD-Card operations
  • Supports multiple boot options.
  • Uses USB power supply for recharge and running.
  • Can be updated over the air locally.
  • In addition can support inbound FTP, Telnet (ATDT), NTP Sync and anything you can add from the Arduino ESP Library.

It should be capable of supporting the NEC machines but not tested.

The firmware is still being tested if you want a copy to test etc. please contact me.

As yet there is no enclosure for the board but a 3D printed design would be easy to generate for those interested.

This has only been tested on 1 board, use at your own risk. If you do not get sync, try adjusting R23. Wire up a pot to make it easier. There are now 3 jumpers. These are for a non-pot install. Change R5/R17/R18 to X values. I haven’t done enough testing (only installed in one machine) if these are static for all models.
