JP4 slide pot adapter board 2

A battery powered GPS reverse geocache backpack.

This version corrects a minor problem in the prototype that prevents programming with the LCD attached. It should be fully functional.

Power draw from two 1.5 volt primary cells is 150 mA when operating, 1 mA standby. With AA alkaline batteries, that should be a combination of 10 hours operating or 90 days standby.

The GPS module is the Adafruit Ultimate GPS module.

When using the RadioHead library, edit the Arduino sketch examples to specify pins 15 and 16. For example:

A newer version of this PCB was designed, with the ability to disable the SPI SCK signal (possibly causing RF interference on the RFM69 module), but so far it is untested.
