Edge-solder two DB9F connectors on either side of the board (DigiKey 4209FE-ND, for instance) and you get an RS-232 null modem. The pinout:
- TXD<->RXD
- RTS<->CTS
- GND<->GND
- DTR->DSR+DCD (x2)
- RI->nc (x2)
